Stop Trying to Guess!

If you are not a good swimmer, would you enter the ocean gradually, or would you jump into the depth right away? 🤔⁣⁣

It’s the same with the drum solo improvisation.💃💃💃⁣⁣

I see it over and over again that dancers who barely had any experience want to crowd their improvisation with hundreds of movements that at the end of the day, don’t even fit the music.⁣⁣

🤔👉So what? Isn’t it good trying not to be boring for the audience???⁣⁣

💁‍♀️Well, how about stoping this unnecessary rush and movement hysteria, and capture your audience with the mature and confident dance improvisation.😉⁣⁣

Being present in the moment is much more than just stop thinking about that window left open in your house, or what your friend said during the dinner last night.😆⁣⁣

One mistake that many dancers are guilty of during the drum solo improvisation is desire to⁣⁣

PREDICT THE MUSIC❌❌❌⁣⁣

Lol, I remember myself so many times trying to move before the drummer hits the beat. ‘Oh, I just feel it’s gonna be some sharp accents’, but suddenly it’s a series of short tremolos.🙈🙈🙈⁣⁣

That’s called ’not being fully present in the moment’. That’s called ‘jumping into the ocean before you learn to swim’.⁣⁣

‼️HEAR IT BEFORE YOU REACT TO IT. And stop worrying about being perfect right away. Enter waters slowly, and with the intention to learn swimming properly, rather than focusing on attempts to impress someone with something you don’t even know how to do….⁣⁣___________
