My Evolution as a Dance Teacher

Did I teach classes before the Iana Dance Club? 💃💃💃

I launched the Iana Dance Club in 2019. Prior to that, 95% of my activities were all about gigs. 👉 I worked as a full-time performer in Toronto for the five years since my university graduation.

And although my main focus was primarily on solo performances, I still had teaching experience, both online and in-person.

☑️ My four online courses were recorded before even considering the idea of the club (A to Z, Rhythms, Persian, and Turkish Romani).

☑️ I was doing private classes, including coaching for competitions. It was cool to see students successes and competition awards.🤗🏆

☑️ I also ran group classes on Ballet for belly dancers for a couple months in Toronto, and ☑️frequently taught workshops across Canada and at international festivals.

But in 2019, my husband and I decided to radically change our lifestyle. 🌎🌍🌏Traveling around the world as digital nomads required us to adapt our work focus, and eventually the idea of the Iana Dance Club evolved.

Today the club is my dance baby, and I absolutely love it! 🥰 So much thoughts, efforts and energy goes into it on a daily basis, and I’m happy to see that it works. 👉 We’ve built something that helps other dancers with their training and development, and in my opinion, it’s a very unique educational project.

I’m excited to see how it evolves in the upcoming years, and definitely my teaching activities will be evolving too in the future.

How about you? How many dance teachers do I have in my community? 🤗 Show yourself 💃🤓😘
